International City is a country themed architecture of residences, business opportunity, and tourist attractions.

• International City is located in Dubai’s Al Warsan area, along the Dubai-Hatta Road.
• International City is one of the first developments to be handed over by NAKHEEL.
• International City is one of the first NAKHEEL developments to be inhabited.
• International City’s area measures 800 hectares.
• Construction started in 2003.
• International City’s current population is made up of over 75 nationalities.
• International City is divided into five districts: Residential District, Central District, DragonMart Complex, Lake District and The Forbidden City.

Residential District

Will comprise of 413 buildings in total, this includes the recently launched Emirates precinct which adds 26 buildings to the existing 387 which have already been handed over.The Residential District will be home to 120,000 people (current population: 60,000) living in 23,847 residential units, with 5,254 retail units catering to their daily needs.

Central District

Its 34 plots are being developed by private investors, with 65% of construction completed to date (April 2008).The plots were originally sold between 2003-2004.

Lake District

This district includes Al Warsan Lake which was discovered in 1998.Work on the Lake Preservation Project started mid-2007.

Forbidden City

This will provide another option for affordable housing, including a range of studio and 1- and 2- bedroom apartments.

DragonMart Complex

Fully operational since 2004, Dragon Mart Complex is the largest trading hub for Chinese products outside mainland China.
