Progress update - Residential District

The Residential District is near completion

The International City management team is proud to update you on the progress across the development and share with you the latest images from the site. International City is not only one of Nakheel’s first success stories, but a success story for affordable housing in Dubai. The Residential District of International City is now complete (with the exception of Emirates Precinct) and is now home to over 70,000 people from over 75 countries around the world. The community continues to grow with more and more facilities becoming available to residents. Landscaping is now over 85% complete and has had an extremely positive impact on the visual appeal of the City.

Retail across the development is booming with more and more retail outlets being leased out. This includes everything from laundries and supermarkets to beauty and massage salons and restaurants and cafés. Plans are in place to bring more clinics and pharmacies to the city, lease out more office space and install a permanent signage and wayfinding system. Future plans include multi-purpose courts, civil defense units and playgrounds.

By the time the other districts within the City are complete, International City will be even more vibrant and self-sustaining.
