About the IC Fanpark

The drama. The spectacle. The tears. The cheers. The fans. All that makes football “The Beautiful Game” can be seen live in Dubai through an experience that’s absolutely alive with fun!

The IC Euro 2008 Fan Park brings to Dubai FIFA Euro 2008. From June 7-29, 2008 at 7 pm onwards, people can watch all the matches at Madinat Jumeirah’s The Arena. The largest screen in the Middle East (measuring 16 x 9 metres) will broadcast the games live from Austria and Switzerland.

The Fan Park is divided into four areas:

General Area - where the food and beverage stands are positioned, to allow spectators to a refreshing break from the summer heat or to soothe their throats from all the cheering.

Viewing Area - with a grandstand and three seating sections, one of which is a 150-capacity VIP area. A mini-pitch in front of the screen will host a 5-a-side tournament “simulating” the day’s featured match.

Sponsors Area - featuring booths for promotional activities of participating companies.

Entertainment Area - features foosball tables, air hockey tables, face painting, a Wii lounge and much more.

To truly create a stadium-like atmosphere, the venue will accommodate 3,400 visitors. An estimated 65,000 visitors are expected to attend the event from the first match day kick-off to the final whistle of the championship game.

The IC Euro 2008 Fan Park is designed for the true football fan. It brings them together to celebrate the game no matter what team they cheer for. More than simply providing a venue to watch the matches, IC Euro 2008 Fan Park elevates football frenzy through different activities that allow for total enjoyment.

Nakheel - through International City - is the main sponsor of the event. Football matches the dynamism, fervour and the overall spirit of fun prevalent in International City. With its sponsorship, International City strengthens its bonds with existing residents as well as creating a buzz with its target audience.
